Over the years, he has missed his mother.Although he does have concerns about his mom, he can't see her being dominated.So now he makes an effort to heal the gap left from all those decades.So he feels he has the responsibility to protect Diane from the ones trying to destroy her in the soap seaweeds.On the other side, some are will also have concerns about her mother-in-law, while remaining supportive of Kyle's choices.
